Pattern Driven Component Pattern PropertyManager

You can use the Pattern Driven Component Pattern PropertyManager to create pattern driven patterns.

To open this PropertyManager:

Click Linear Component Pattern > Pattern Driven Component Pattern (Assembly toolbar) or Insert > Component Pattern > Pattern Driven.

Components to Pattern

Components to Pattern Specifies the seed components.

Driving Feature or Component

Driving feature or component Specifies the driving feature or component
  Select Seed Position Specifies a pattern instance as the seed feature.
  Alignment method Available when you select a hole wizard feature as the driving feature.

Align to holes

Aligns instances to the Hole Wizard feature.

Default alignment method for new pattern features.

Align to seed

Aligns instances to the seed instance.

Default alignment method for existing pattern features.

Instances to Skip

Instances to Skip Skips the pattern instances that you select in the graphics area.

To skip an instance, click in Instances to Skip . In the graphics area, pink selection orbs display on the pattern instances. The pointer changes to when you hover over each pattern instance and the coordinates of the pattern instance appear. Click a selection orb to skip the instance.

To restore a skipped instance, click the selection orb for the skipped instance.

Select This Configuration , All Configurations , or Specify Configurations to apply the skipped instances to the selected configurations.

Skipped By Driving Feature

Skipped By Driving Feature Lists instances skipped by the driving feature pattern or component pattern.

Options

Propagate component level visual properties Propagates colors and textures to pattern instances.
Synchronize configuration of patterned components to seed Blocks changes to the configuration of patterned instances for all configurations.

Selecting this option may change some patterned component instances to match the configuration of the seed component.
