Datum Dialog Box
You can insert datum specifications and symbols and apply them to individual datums, datum groups, and datum compartments.
To open this dialog box:
- Do one of the following:
- In the Tolerance dialog box, click Add Datum.
- Double-click an existing geometric tolerance symbol, then click its existing datum symbol.
- Double-click an existing geometric tolerance symbol, then:
- Click the handle to the right of the
symbol.
- Click Datum.
- Click the handle to the right of the
symbol.

Maximum Material Condition | Material condition modifier that represents the datum feature in its maximum material condition. | |

Free State | Establishes the datum in its free state condition. | |
Add New | Adds a datum frame. (Available if there are less than three datum in the geometric tolerance symbol.) | |
