This example walks you through the preview options for the Intersect tool.
To remove regions with the Intersect tool:

With an open part, click Intersect (Features toolbar) or .
- In the PropertyManager, do the following:
- From the flyout FeatureManager design tree, select Shell 1, Extrude-Thin1 and Extrude-Thin2 for Solids, Surfaces, or Planes to Intersect.
- Click Create Both and click Intersect.
The software populates the Regions List.
- Under Preview Options, click Show included and excluded regions.
- In the graphics area, select an inner pipe.
The highlighted pipe is removed from the preview. The region corresponding to the pipe is also selected in the Region List.
- In Region List, select Region 14 and Region 15.
The pipes highlight in the preview.
- In the graphics area, select all the pipes inside the shell until they disappear in the preview.
- In the PropertyManager, under Preview Options, click Show excluded regions.
- Click Show both included and excluded regions.
- Click Invert Selection.
