Editing Properties

To edit properties:

  1. If the check box at the top of the Linked column is selected, clear the box.

    The Linked column links properties to the base or parent part.

  2. In the table, click the Property Name, Type, or Value / Text Expression property that you want to change.
  3. Edit the properties.
    When you define a property that includes a single or double quotation mark (‘ or “), enter an @ sign in front of the quotation mark to ensure that the expression evaluates correctly. For example: 2@" X 2@" X 1/4@".
  4. Press Enter.
    This editing modifies the properties for the current document only. Edit the global properties with the Edit Property List dialog box.
