Editing a Scene
To edit a scene, start from one of these locations:
From the Task Pane, Alt + drag or Alt + double-click to apply a scene and open the Edit Scene PropertyManager.
From the DisplayManager, click View Scene, Lights, and Cameras
. Right-click Scene and select Edit Scene.
In the graphics area, right-click and select Edit Scene.
Adding a Background to a Scene
A scene background is a 2D image between the model and the scene environment. Even with a background, the reflections on the model are from the scene environment.
To change the background of a scene:
In the Edit Scene PropertyManager, click the Basic tab.
Under Background, select a Background type and set additional options related to the type.
Changing the Floor Appearance
In the DisplayManager, click View Scene, Lights, and Cameras
.
Right-click Scene and click Add Floor Appearance (if no floor appearance exists) or Edit Floor Appearance (if you have added a floor appearance).
To remove a floor appearance, select it and click Delete Floor Appearance.
Use the Appearances PropertyManager to edit the floor appearance.
Saving a Customized Scene
You can customize a scene by modifying a predefined scene and saving it
to a new file.
Recommendation:
You
can choose a predefined scene whose properties are closest to the ones you
want to create.
Use the Edit Scene PropertyManager to change an existing scene.
On the Advanced tab, click Save Scene.
Click Save.
The folder where you saved the file is added to System Options > File Locations > Custom - Scenes.
If a prompt appears asking whether to make the folder visible in the Scenes folder of the Task Pane, click Yes.
The folder appears in the Task Pane. System folders are yellow. Folders containing custom scenes are blue.
To
send models with custom appearances, decals, scenes (including any required
lights) to
others, in
Document Properties > Model Display, select Store Appearance, Decal
and Scene data in model
file.
