The Model View PropertyManager appears when you create a new drawing, or when you insert a model view into a drawing document. Exploded Views in Drawings You can create an exploded drawing view from an existing exploded assembly view. The actual view is a model view, usually in the isometric orientation. Model Break Views Within Drawings Use the Model Break View tool to create configuration-based 3D break views (also known as interrupted views) of a model for individual drawing views. Relative to Model View Predefined Views You can use predefined views like named views to preselect an orientation, position, and scale for views on a drawing template. You can add the model or assembly reference later using Insert Model in the PropertyManager. Empty Views Adding Named Views The Named View dialog box appears when you click New View in the Orientation dialog box. Deleting Views Inserting a 3D View in a Drawing If you create 3D views in SOLIDWORKS MBD, you can insert them in drawing views. In addition, you can insert any annotations that you create in the 3D view if they are orthogonal to the drawing view.
