Creating a Circular Component Pattern
You can create a circular pattern of components in an assembly.
To create a circular component pattern:
- Click Linear Component Pattern > Circular Component Pattern (Assembly toolbar) or Insert > Component Pattern > Circular Pattern.

In the PropertyManager, under Direction 1:

For Pattern
Axis, select one of the following:
- Circular edge or sketch line
- Linear edge or sketch line
- Cylindrical face or surface
- Revolved face or surface
The pattern revolves around this axis. - Optional: Click Reverse Direction .

Enter a value for Angle
. This is the angular value between
the centers of the instances.
Select Equal spacing to set the Angle to 360°.

For Pattern
Axis, select one of the following:
- Click in Components to Pattern , then select the seed components.

To skip instances:
- Under Instances to Override, click in Skipped instances .
- In the graphics area, click the pink selection orb for the instance and click Skip Instance.
The coordinates of the pattern instance appear in Skipped instances . - Optional:
Under Options, select the following
option:
Option Description Synchronize movement of flexible subassembly components Moves components in the patterned instances when you move components in the seed flexible subassembly, and vice versa. This option is useful when you pattern flexible subassemblies.
- Click .
The new components appear under LocalCirPattern in the FeatureManager design tree.
By default, all instances use the same configuration as the seed components. To change the configuration, edit the component properties of an instance.
