Trimming Complex Corners

When you assign a member as the trim tool, the member extends in the graphics area. This example shows how to assign a member as the trim tool and another member as the planar trim body.

To trim complex corners:

  1. Open a model that includes three or more intersecting members.
  2. In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click Corner Management and click Edit Feature .

    The Complex tab of the Corner Management PropertyManager appears. Under Corner Treatment, Body Trim lists all the intersecting members.

  3. Select a member in Body Trim, and click to move it to Trim tool member.

  4. Select another member in Body Trim and click to move it to Planar Trim.
  5. Under Planar trim options, select First Contact planar trim or Full contact planar trim .

    You can also specify Automatic or User Defined to adjust the Trim Tool and a Gap measurement.

  6. Zoom to the intersection of the corners in the graphics area to display the trim effect.
  7. Click .
