You can
save a copy of existing files with new names to the 3DEXPERIENCE
platform.
This information applies to SOLIDWORKS if you enable the
Design with SOLIDWORKS app.
To save as new to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform:

Do one of the following:
- In SOLIDWORKS, click , or from the Quick Access tools on the menu bar, click
Save As New
.
- On the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, in
MySession, right-click a component and click Save
As New
. You can also select
Save As New
in the action
bar.

In the Save As New dialog
box:

Under Collaborative Space on
3DEXPERIENCE, specify a space to save the file.

Under Title,
enter a new name for the file.

To include drawings of components as new, click
Show References. In the
Action column, specify
Save As New for the required
components, enter a New Title,
and select Include
Drawings.
The dialog box table updates to include drawings
files for the selected components. Under
Action,
specify to exclude the drawings or save them as new.
Next to
Include
Drawings, you can click
to update the grid after you specify
the
Action for each
drawing.

To save the model to your local PC, click Save to This PC.
If Autoname is
enabled, the default file name is the autoname whether you save to your
PC or to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

For assemblies or drawings, click Show References to show details about
referenced components.
In the Save As New
dialog box, you can change the autonamed title to be more meaningful. If
autonaming is enabled, the file name retains the original autogenerated
name.
