Example: Replacing Sketch Entities

This example shows how you can replace sketch entities with construction or contour geometry with the Replace Entity tool.

1. Click Replace Entity (Sketch toolbar) or Tools > Sketch Tools > Replace Entity.
2. In the PropertyManager, click .
3. In the graphics area, select the line shown for Replace this entity and select Make construction.
   
   
4. In the graphics area, select the arc shown for With this one.
   
   
5. In the PropertyManager, select Make contour and click .
   The entities are replaced, but the line becomes construction geometry and the arc becomes a regular contour.
   
   
6. In the graphics area, select the line shown for Replace this entity.
   
   
7. In the graphics area, select the arc shown for With this one.
   
   
8. In the PropertyManager, clear Make contour and click .
   The entities are replaced and become construction geometry.
