Viewing Knitting Gaps on the Component

When knitting surfaces, you can view knitting gaps in a range in the Knit Surface PropertyManager and locate gaps on the component.

  1. With a part open, click Knit Surface (Surfaces toolbar), or right-click a knit surface feature in the FeatureManager design tree and click Edit Feature .
  2. In the PropertyManager, with surfaces selected, select Gap Control.
    Gaps are listed in the PropertyManager if there are knitting gaps within the range specified in Show gaps in range. Open gaps have values greater than the knitting tolerance.
  3. If necessary, move the sliders to modify the range for which gaps are displayed.
  4. Select a gap from the list.

    To select a gap, click to the Knit Surface icon . To select multiple gaps, press CTRL before selecting gaps.

    The gap is located on the component.

  5. To zoom in on a gap, right-click a selected gap in the PropertyManager and click Zoom to Selection.
