Moving Virtual Components
You can move virtual components within the hierarchy of the FeatureManager design tree. Existing references are ignored and the component is renamed.

In the FeatureManager design tree:
As you move over other components, the pointer changes to indicate what happens if you drop the component there.When you drag over a part:
Pointer Action Places the component below the part, in the same level of the assembly as the part. When you drag over a subassembly:Pointer Action (Hover over the name of the subassembly.) Places the component inside the subassembly, in the same level as the subassembly's other components. (Hover over the icon of the subassembly.) Places the component below the subassembly, in the same level of the assembly as the subassembly. The software warns you that if you move a virtual component to another assembly, the component is renamed and links to the original component are broken.
You can suppress the message by selecting Don't show again. To restore a suppressed message, click Tools > Options > System Options. Under Messages/Errors/Warnings, click Dismissed Messages and select the message to restore. - Click OK.The Assembly Structure Editing dialog box indicates that the component's InPlace mate is deleted and its in-context sketch goes out of context.
- Click Move.The component is renamed to reflect that it is now a component of a different assembly.
