Updating Component Graphics Data in Large Design Review
Changes to a parent component can cause the graphics data of dependent components to become outdated. You can update the graphics data in various ways.
If changes that you make to one component influence a dependent component, then the graphics data in Large Design Review might become out of date for the dependent component.
Examples of changes that might necessitate an update:
- A change to an equation in one part that influences a dimension in another part.
- A change to a part that is the seed component for a mirrored part.

Automatically Updating When Opening an Assembly
You can set a system option to check the graphics data of all components when you open an assembly in Large Design Review, and update any out-of-date graphics data that is found.
To automatically update graphics data:
- Click Options (Standard toolbar) or .
- On the System Options tab, click Assemblies.
- Select Automatically check and update all components in Large Design Review.
Manually Updating After Opening an Assembly
When an assembly is in Large Design Review mode, you can update out-of-date graphics data for the entire assembly or for selected components.
