Inserting One Component at a Time
You can add components to an assembly one at a time from the PropertyManager.
To insert components:

Do one of the following to open the PropertyManager:
- Create an assembly document by clicking New (Standard toolbar) or File > New.
- In an existing assembly, click Insert Components (Assembly toolbar) or Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly.
Previously saved documents that are currently open appear under Part/Assembly to Insert.Click to pin the PropertyManager if you want to insert multiple components without having to reopen the PropertyManager. - Select a part or assembly from the list, or click Browse to open an existing document.
When you open the Insert Components PropertyManager and no components are available under Open documents, a dialog box opens automatically so that you can browse for components to insert. This occurs if you selected Automatic Browse when creating new assembly in the PropertyManager.
- Do one of the following:
- Click in the graphics area to place the component.
- Rotate the component to the desired orientation and click in the graphics area to place the component.
- Click to place the component origin coincident with the assembly origin.
If the PropertyManager is not pinned, it closes.If the PropertyManager is pinned, click again in the graphics area to add another instance of the selected component. To add a different component, repeat steps 2 and 3.
