Fillet Bead

Use the Fillet Bead screen in the Costing Template Editor to set the fillet bead information.

To display this screen:

  • In the Costing Template Editor, click Fillet Bead.

You must assign data for each row before you can add another row to the table.

You can copy and paste numerical data in the Costing Template Editor.
Default Sets the default fillet bead to be used for all fillet beads found in the part.
Weld Type Sets the name of the weld type, for example, Aluminum Bead. Weld type includes the bead type and material.
Cost Per Volume Sets the cost per volume of the fillet bead.
Weld beads use cost per length, while fillet beads use cost per volume.
Machine Cost Sets the Machine Cost associated with the operation.
Labor Cost Sets the Labor Cost associated with the operation.
Operation Setup Time Sets the amount of time it takes to set up a machine for each operation.

Setup cost = Operation Setup time * (Machine Cost + Labor Cost)

Setup Distribution Sets how to distribute the Setup Cost:

Divided Over Total Quantity

Setup cost is divided by the total number of parts (Setup cost per part = Setup cost / Total number of parts). For example, if the setup cost is 100 and the total number of parts is 100, then the setup cost per part is 1.

Divided Over Lot Size

Setup cost is divided by the lot size (Setup cost per part = Setup cost / Lot size). For example, if the setup cost is 100 and the lot size is 10, then the setup cost per part is 10.

Applied Once Per Part

Setup cost is applied per part (Setup cost per part = Setup cost). For example, if the setup cost is 100 then the setup cost per part is 100.
