Annotation Leaders
You can select leaders to attach to annotations. Not all leaders apply to each annotation. You can also change the attachment point of most annotations.
To change the attachment point of an annotation:
- Select the annotation.
- Drag the leader's endpoint to a different attachment point.
Type

| Multi-jog Leader | Inserts a leader with as many bends as required. | ||||
| Spline Leader | (Available in drawings only.) Creates a spline leader from the note to the drawing. To modify the spline leader, select the note and drag the control vertex points. |

| VDA Leader | (Available in drawings only.) Used with circular balloons to create VDA balloons, which are frequently used in the German automotive industry. See Creating VDA Balloons. | ||||
| No Leader | Removes the leader. | ||||
| Auto Leader | Inserts a leader with as many bends as required. |
Location
| Leader Left | Forces the leader to run from the left side. | ||
| Leader Right | Forces the leader to run from the right side. | ||
| Leader Nearest | Inserts a leader on the left or right, whichever is closest to its attachment point. |
Style
| Straight Leader | Inserts a leader with no bend in it. | ||
| Bent Leader | Inserts a horizontal bend in the leader. | ||
| Underlined Leader | Underlines the text in a note. This is available for notes only. |
