Disappearing Faces During Rotation or Movement

Issue: with shaded models, faces disappear while rotating or moving.

Task Details
Adjust the Level of detail slider in Performance Options.

To add detail during changes to view orientation:

  1. Click Options (Standard toolbar) or Tools > Options and in System Options, select Performance.
  2. Drag the Level of detail slider toward More (slower).

    This decreases performance, but increases detail during changes in view orientation.

  3. Click OK.
    This option is not available when Large Assembly Settings is on.
Check to see if Large Assembly Settings is selected.

Large Assembly Settings is automatically enabled based on a minimum number of assembly components. You can manually enable or disable the option whether or not the threshold is reached. When Large Assembly Settings is on, Large Assembly Settings appears on the status bar.

To turn Large Assembly Settings on or off:

Click Large Assembly Settings (Assembly toolbar) or Tools > Large Assembly Settings.
