You can apply custom operations in the machining template or in the CostingManager.

Applying Custom Operations in the Machining Template

To apply custom operations in the machining template:

  1. In the Costing Task Pane, under Machining Template:
    1. Select the template to edit.
    2. Click Launch Template Editor.
  2. In the dialog box, click Custom.
  3. Under Always Include, select Yes or No:

    Yes

    Both the Setup Cost and the custom operation are added to the costing analysis. The Setup Cost is listed in the Setup FM_folder.gif folder in the CostingManager.

    No

    The Setup Cost and the custom operation are not automatically included in the overall cost. However, you can add them manually. To add the Setup Cost to the overall cost, in the CostingManager, expand the Setup FM_folder.gif folder, right-click Custon Setup, click Select Setup Cost, and then click the setup cost.

  4. Click Save Tool_Save_Standard.gif.

Applying Custom Operations in the CostingManager

To apply custom operations in the CostingManager:

  1. At the top of the CostingManager, click Add Custom Operation Costing_Create_Custom_Operation.gif.
  2. In the PropertyManager, under Operation, select a custom operation.
  3. Click PM_OK.gif.
