Permissions and Access to Content
On the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, your administrator assigns access roles that define how you can work with content in your collaborative spaces and tasks.
Some access roles define permission for administration:
- An Owner can perform administrative tasks such as managing the membership of a collaborative space, as well as creating and editing content.
- An Administrator can perform administrative tasks such as creating collaborative spaces for users, but usually cannot edit content.
Other access roles define permissions for accessing and working with
content, for example:
- A Reader or Public Reader can read, but not evaluate, create, or edit content.
- A Contributor can read and evaluate, but not create or edit.
- An Author or Leader can read, evaluate, create, and edit content and take actions such as locking and unlocking files and changing their maturity level.
For details, see Baseline Access to Content in Dassault Systèmes User Assistance. Access to Dassault Systèmes User Assistance requires 3DEXPERIENCE credentials.
