- Auto Reliefs
The software automatically adds relief cuts wherever needed when inserting bends if you select Auto Relief.
- Edit Bends
You can edit the bend parameters for a single bend, for a group of bends, or for your entire sheet metal part. The bend parameters include the default bend radius, and the bend allowance or bend deduction values.
- Flat Pattern
The Flat-Pattern1 feature is intended to be the last feature in the folded sheet metal part. All features before Flat-Pattern1 in the FeatureManager design tree appear in both the folded and flattened sheet metal part. All features after Flat-Pattern1 appear only in the flattened sheet metal part.
- Exporting Sheet Metal Parts to DXF or DWG Files
- Mirroring Sheet Metal Parts
You can mirror features and bodies in a sheet metal part. You can also mirror an entire sheet metal part to create an opposite-hand version of the original part.
- Cutting Across Sheet Metal Bends
You can make cuts across bend lines.
- Normal Cut
When adding a cut to a folded sheet metal part, select Normal cut to ensure that the cut is created normal to the sheet metal thickness.
- Creating Sheet Metal Parts with Cylindrical Faces
- Adding Walls to Sheet Metal Parts
- Creating Elliptical Bends
You can sketch an ellipse and a create sheet metal part that has elliptical bends.
- Drawings of Sheet Metal Parts
When you create a drawing of your sheet metal part, a flat pattern is automatically created. Drawings of sheet metal parts can also contain views of the bent sheet metal part.
- Creating Sheet Metal Flat Pattern Configurations
You can create a configuration in a sheet metal part that shows the flattened part.
- Sheet Metal Gauge/Bend Table
Sheet metal gauge/bend tables store properties for a designated material. A single table lets you associate a bend allowance, bend radius, or k-factor with any combination of thickness, bend radius, and material.
- Sheet Metal Gauge Tables
Sheet metal gauge tables store properties for a designated material. You can access the sheet metal gauge table from the PropertyManager while creating the base flange.
- Document Properties - Sheet Metal
Lets you specify sheet metal options. Available for all document types. Options vary depending on whether you are working with a part, assembly, or drawing.
- Sheet Metal Properties
Properties specific to sheet metal parts are calculated and displayed in the Cut-List Properties dialog box.
- Linking Materials and Sheet Metal Parameters
When you assign a custom material to a sheet metal part, you can link the sheet metal parameters to the material. If you change the material, the sheet metal parameters also update.
- Reordering Bends
You can reorder the bends in a sheet metal part in which bends have been inserted.
