Find and Replace Detailing Text

You can find and replace any text in a SOLIDWORKS document that was created with the Note tool.

To find and replace text:

  1. In a SOLIDWORKS document, press Ctrl+F.
  2. In the dialog box, set:
    Option Description
    Find what Type the text to find in the document.
    Replace with (optional) Type replacement text for text found in Find what.
  3. Click any of the following:
    Option Description
    Find Next Finds the next instance of the text in Find what.
    Replace Finds the next instance of the text in Find what. Click Replace again to insert the replacement text from Replace with.
    Replace All Immediately inserts the replacement text from Replace with for all instances of the text in Find what. A confirmation message appears to let you know how many instances were replaced.
  4. Click Close.
