Imported File Formats
The FeatureWorks software can recognize features on bodies imported into the SOLIDWORKS application. FeatureWorks supports all formats supported by the SOLIDWORKS translators
Before recognizing features on a Pro/ENGINEER part, you must delete any attribute features from the FeatureManager design tree.
You can add various features and references to an imported part and not lose them if you subsequently run FeatureWorks on the imported part. This functionality works for the FeatureWorks options to Overwrite existing file or Create new file. The following features and references are supported:
- Drawing views
- Drawing annotations
- Drawing dimensions
- Assembly mates
- Assembly features
